The Greenhouses & Phytochambers Unit (GPU), formerly known as the Greenhouse Laboratory Center (GHL), is part of the Plant Technology Center (PTC). Located at the Dürnast experimental site near the TUM School of Life Sciences in Weihenstephan, the GPU offers a wide range of experimental facilities. These include climate chambers, greenhouse cabins, greenhouses, vegetation halls, and small outdoor areas. These resources enable TUM scientists to conduct diverse plant science research, ranging from basic scientific inquiries to application-oriented projects.
